Why do pencil dicks need AR-15's? If they get a court order to do a seziure or something then they should have the US Marshals service do that. We got way too many law enforcement agencies that just duplicate services.

The Federal government certainly can have a Federal Police force but only to police Federal laws. There is no special requirement - that is a "necessary and proper" power otherwise all laws would be toothless or subject to State whims. The problem is that the Federal government currently exercises too broad a swath of powers, IMO unconstitutionally. But within its proper scope the Federal government certainly is allowed the instrumentality to enforce the necessary laws.

As to the IRS agents, well, my assumption is that if you create a "law enforcement" branch of any agency they will act, unless checked, to be like other "law enforcement" agencies - part of which is being trained on the more "SWAT-like" weapons. Strong, disciplined leadership is required to keep any (and all) agencies in check and in line with their express purpose.

IRS???????????

How many do we NEED?

:coffee2: Fox News is talking about this RIGHT NOW!

New POLL says 2 out of 3 say IRS targeting WAS intentional and DIRECTED by TOP LEVEL, not lower level rogue agents.

The IRS is not a citizen of the United States, so the 2nd amendment does not apply. Sure they are a federal agency, but again since IRS=Government, then we the people should have some say as to "why they need" anything - it's absolutely not the same question as "Why does citizen XYZ need an AR-15" since according to the Constitution, one citizen does not control another's rights, nor does the government control our rights.

We control the government... (or at least that's the theory).
