It shoots as fast as you can rack it. With 2 hands it's surprisingly controllable.

I hate to repeat myself, but you guys need to reconsider 357 for home defense - it is the loudest handheld firearm out there! Outside it'll give you a ringer - indoors you are pretty much guaranteed permanent hearing loss.

If you have to use your firearm in home invasion situation - your life will change forever; don't intentionally add the misery of hearing loss to the rest of it.
