Ruger American scope leveling?

Thanks for the help guys. I'm waiting on my lapping kit to arrive. I had been wanting to get one and after watching some YouTube vids, I decided it was a necessity.

I use a lapping kit when I mount a scope, I think it helps. I use this scope leveling kit.

I have the simple magnetic leveling kit. It works great on most guns but not the ruger.

I used the set you have too. I actually have two sets of them because my lapping kit came with a set. My wife got me the clamp on style a couple of years ago for my birthday, along with a tipton best gun vise.

Got the lapping kit in. Still think I want to invest in the barrel clamp level like pokin has

Those cheap rings are like that. That's why I suggested lapping. High quality rings really don't need lapping.

Even some Ive done that are middle range like Vortex or Weaver Tacticals were in need of lapping in a bad way.
