Shopping for yet another CC handgun. I've looked at and shot both, don't have an overwhelming preferance for one over the other so I thought to ask for opinions. Any little differences that would make a difference?

The Ruger's cylinder finish is known for durability, S&W's looks like it would rub off quickly in a pocket.

Anything else?

I really don't think you can go wrong with either.

I have a 642 but still want a LCR also.

Neither one jumps out at you more then the other?

I have a no lock 442 and love it, I carry mine iwb and haven't had any wear issues, it just feels better that the lcr, the lcr I fondled seemed like it had loose lock up and If you don't fully release the trigger it locks up really easy. Not a big deal in a range situation but it's a different story if you ever need it to save your life

I just bought a LCR and so far have loved it. I plan on making a holster for it this weekend and start trying it out as a lightweight carry alternative to my S&W MP40c.

Here's some more pic's before the flaming. Remeber with alloy such as aluminum, scandium, and all those other "UNOBTAINIUM" framed guns is not if its going to let go, but when!!!
