We've watched this buck we called "the big 10" for two years and knew he was big and old, but I really didn't know how big. My youngest son called dibs on him a few weeks ago, and he took off work a little early today and got his shot. He was shooting my one of my back up crossbows and made a perfect 25 yard shot, and he only went about 40 yards. My scale is off, but I know he weighed over 250 (live weight). I had been guessing he would score 145-150, and I was way off. He measured 159.75 inches, and that's my son's biggest buck by a lot.

Congrats to your son! I would've guessed that deer like you did, he's a sleeper. lol. Looks like solid mass and beam length really helped. Not a bad spread either.
