I have been considering the savage as a host for the Sparrow silencer I have on order for my handgun. But while I have been waiting on the local gunshop to find me one I got to shoot a friends CZ. I do love the classic looks and quality of the CZ. Any thoughts? The CZ would be more of a gun that could become a family heirloom.

Get off my lawn.
CZ is definitely nicer, but there's nothing wrong with the Savage. I bought an FV-SR and am super happy with it. Finish could be better, but everything else about the gun (once the stock is changed) is excellent.

Another vote for the FV-SR here. Very accurate, and a perfect match with my spectre can. This setup is insanely quiet. I don't have any experience with the CZ, but I do know that CZ makes a quality firearm.
