Lately, a few have asked about Cowboy Action Shooting and right now April 25-26,2014 There is a match going on at the OKC Gun Club called Land Run. It has bout 300 shooters and is one of the best run matches in the area. So if you want to get an up close and personal look at the activities and guns used, you would be welcome.
Match starts around 9:00 am and should be done by 1:00-2:00P.M. All you need to bring is hearing protection and eye protection and you can get right up close and watch the fast paced action. Shooting two single action revolvers, a lever action rifle, and a double or pump action shotgun. The costuming is very unique as well.
Just follow the directions on the OKC gun club website and the SASS cowboys will direct you to the range.
I am not a member of this club as I belong to Tulsa Red Castle but we always have a great turnout there and a lot of us shoot it. Hope some of you go and have a great time.
