I get the hunting magazine from the NRA.
I loved reading the stories about home invasions, especially in rural areas like where we live to my wife. I thought she ignored my reading as she showed no emotion.
Those stories finally caught up with her reality. She lived in a fantasy world where that only happened to people in urban communities.
We went today to the Osage county Sheriff's office to complete her application. Now its a waiting game and she now asks to go to the range to shoot.
When you hear real life stories of folks that needed to protect themselves it sinks in. The violence exhibited in a lot of those reports is what really made the difference. The husband was first to respond, the perps beat him down, giving the wife time to get a gun and resolve the situation.
