I too have a Ken Farrell G-Force base wich has the screw that bottoms out on the front of the action opening. It is a very rock solid unit. +1 on anybody who was looking at trying one out.

ACOG 648?! Those suckers weigh almost as much as the rifle. lol
If you haven't tried it yet, you might re-think it as being "fast-aquisition".
6x and a 17" FOV can be tough at shorter ranges.
I spent a little time with one on a 240G and loved it, but only at 150m+.

Since my first Ken Farrell base I'll have no other! they are built very well and the service is next to none I have ever run across, just call and you'll probably talk to Dixie then you'll love the base when you get it study as all get out. I just put the G force on my Savage and I'll have to say it's a heck of a lot more muont than I need but it will NEVER move. Just get one dude you will absolutly love it and for what you get they are a bargan. Later,

Kirk

Who makes a good weaver rail base for a Savage 10FP? I will be running a Trijicon ACOG 648 for an optic on this.

It will be my new fast acquisition hog gun.

????

All of these words make sense individually, but strung together like that - its just not registering with my brain correctly :)
