That is a smell of a heal.

The birdseed grip is a love it or hate it type option and can be difficult to find.

The 3.5" barrel, sometimes known as Sheriff's Model or Shopkeeper is a mark of the birdseed, but available in plow handle grip, too. Barrel length is a matter of taste.

IF you like the grip and short barrel, this is a pretty good deal. Considering Rugers are pushing a Grand.

Wish I could. After watching far to many westerns one day, I had a dream I was a gunfighter in the old west. I wore a standard 5-1/2 44-40 on my hip, but had a leather vest with a holster sewn to it for a shopkeepers model and lines of cartridge loops for extra ammo. Also carried a pump action carbine.

I have no idea where this all came from outside of watching those movies and maybe thinking of a tactical vest but in the dream it looked cool. :P

So tempting. Have a Ruger Sheriff's model(Plow handle grip) in 44 special. Sweet shooting iron.

Looks like this one.

Kiddo has a few Cimarron (Uberti), ranch hands? That she loves to shoot.
