Here, but occasionally There.
Thanks for the quick reply. Now, another question.

Do the ticks tend to stay in foliage and on trees, and if so, would one need to spray any brush around in addition to the granules?

My back fence has a lot of very small trees and stuff. That is the reason I was wondering about a spray. I should have thought of the follow-up question before I posted the first time.

I would contact the lease holder (oil company) and ask if they intentionally created the pond. If not then ask them if they will come and lower at least one tin horn. Most of them have a contact number on their signs. Most of them are us. Born and raised here. Right now money is around to do things like this.
You might also try eating garlic. It will repel mosquitoes & ticks.

Because I'm not sure if the landowner wanted that pond as a watering hole for his cattle. That would explain the tin horns being placed in the top of the road dam instead of in the creek channel.

Or maybe the lack of common sense in the oil field...

Or lack of effort on getting the situation explained or remedied..........
