Does anyone know if you can take a shotgun and shoot clay pigeons at the public range in Wagoner? I am going to take my 10 year old pheasant hunting with me this year and wanted to get him some practice with his 4-10. I have never been out there and I do understand you need a valid hunting license to go. Thanks for any help, Clay

yes you need a hunting license to shoot there! last time I was there it looked like the county dump! and you really need to be watching the other people! they can be unsafe at times! when are you looking to practice shooting?

sorry it took me so long to reply, I have been away from my main computer. We were thinking about going out there maybe this Saturday.

That place is ok, Somtimes it gets crowded. However, last time I was out there there were probably 10 ppl out there, everyone was safe, and took 5 min every 10 min or so to go down range. No idiots that day.
It looked HALFWAY clean too. I always pick up my trash, and cart out some extra trash as well. Most people out there are really nice.

You drive through Wagoner, drive past the highschool on the left, then you pass the airport on the left it is maybe a 1/2mile or so past the airport and it will be on the right.

Its right across the road from the round up club and Wagoner County Bowhunters clubhouse.
