Finally got a decent snow up here. They were calling for anywhere between 5-13", I'd say we got a solid 8 and with drifting tomorrow will be treacherous on these rural roads. It's probably drifted to 2ft deep in my front yard where it swirls some, and wind is picking up while snow continues. Some random pics for anybody who enjoys snow. Windmill pic was earlier, there's a 6" tall wooden border around the windmill tower and the water pump is on a cinder block, for reference. Hasn't stopped snowing since about 8 or 9am, and supposed to continue for til mid morning.

Reminds me of Oklahoma in February 1973. Our farmhouse had 3-foot-tall concrete steps to the door and we had to dig out a snowdrift to get out of the house We drove the tractor to town and never saw the roads, intersections or fences until we got to the highway.

I just saw FB post that the KS section of I-70 from Salina west to the CO line is closed. That will be a mess to sort out.

All highways in sw Kansas are closed and were about 7pm last night. All roads were closed in Cimarron County as of about 7pm last night.
