Yep this is correct, been dealing with this lately. Agency purchased firearms with CLEO signed FET exemption form is the only guns sold without the FET. Individual officers pay just like everyone else.



You can stand by it if you want but you're wrong.Only agencies are exempt from FET,and they have to order on letter head. Steve

Even further, If a gun shop receives a gun into there store, FET has already been paid. The only way to omit the FET is if the gun goes from the manufacturer to the law enforcement agency. You can apply for a rebate on fet for guns sold from your shop to LE agencies, but it's a pain in the butt!!!!!!

Amen brother, individual officers pay the FET...and local. Departments/agencies are FET exempt.

Course, what do I know. I was just in charge of buying the weapons for a Federal Law Enforcement Agency, and have bought a few :lookaroun as an individual officer.
