Looking to purchase a 9mm Sig 2022. My research tells me that there have been variations of what comes in the kit from year to year. Am i better off buying an older "german" model or the latest NH model?

Also, it seems that the new models come without the regular 3 dot sights. They are now coming with standard 2 dot. If anybody has a lead on a 2022, please pass it along.

I got one from academy pretty cheap. But, mine is in .40 and i like it quite a bit. Read the online reviews on them.

CDNN has them for $389 in their latest catalog.

My brother in law purchased one and I ran a box of 50 though it. From that small sample size it has me wanting one too.

Academy had them for $399.99 when I was there a few minutes ago

I saw the one at Academy. It had regular 2 dot sights for $399. I would like to find one with night sights or at least 3 dot sights. I would rather find a used 2022 if it comes with 2 mags, regular 3 dot sights and hard case. New models come with 1 mag and a box.

If you look at the used market, keep an eye out for the SP2009 (9mm) or SP2340 (.40 or .357). They are the same pistol, with the exception of the accessory rail. The 2022's have a standard rail, the earlier pistols had a proprietary rail that only SIG accessories would fit. If you think you might attach a light or laser at some point, stick with the newer SP2022.

Thanks for the info. Knowing that, I think I'll stick with the 2022.
