On my AR, the trigger engages the hammer at full cock. That's how the trigger releases the hammer.

But the wear and tear on SS is going to be no different than a low carbon steel LPK. No matter what kit, you wil always have like materials hitting each other.
The wear and tear for SS LPK is moot.

Are SS LPKs a solution to a non problem? No more than any other asthetic add on.
