Cabelas has their 10" gong rifle target on sale for 80 bucks. It' 1/2" AR500 and comes with mounting hardware and a frame/stand to hang the target from.

Seems like a good deal....or is there a better bang for the buck? Will be used for non-mag rifle at 100yrds+

That will work just fine at 100 yards. Enjoy.

I would suggest take a look at www.shootingtargets7.com and do some comparison, especially with his free shipping. His stuff is well thought out and top quality. Let's just say I have had to fit my range distance with some firearms and was pleasantly surprised, just having to repaint without a mark. Just my experience.

If the harden steel chain doesn't survive rifle bullet hits you can use wore out hay baler belts to attach your target.

I built my target stand and bought my chain from Home Depot. It's wasn't harden steel. I've cut the chain twice. I didn't think a rifle bullet at 750 yards would cut it but it will.
