Still into the crappie

Any of you gone crappie fishing on Lake Fork in Texas? I know a retired doctor who absolutely loves to go fishing for crappie down there.

Just came up shallow in the last 10 days or so after the big rains had everything shut down. After today's rain there is no telling. Fork just now has enough water in it to get back to full pool.

I had some pretty good luck on Crappie and Cats here at Pauls Valley lake. My son caught a few real nice Crappie.

Kind of off topic but is it legal in OK to use small bullhead catfish for bait?

Does Pauls Valley Lake have any water in it? I usually fish Longmire and I spoke with the Ranger on Monday and he said the lake is still way down.

I just moved here in November so I don't know what the normal lake levels are but it looks fine to me. It has to have come up quite a bit there has been quite a bit of rain lately.

Bullheads can be used for bait in Okla. Trotliners really like them.

Thanks for the heads up Jason. I might try there. I think the crappie will be in full spawn this weekend and I was going to go to Longmire. If it is as low and the Ranger says, City Lake will be my backup plan!
