Not a problem. Like I said, your idea is a good one for non-reactive targets.my target will fall if I hit in the right place. I generally try to avoid it hitting it there.

Your idea does have merit.why not just mount a hinuct.ge to one end of a 2X4 and steel target to the other. You could use a tension screw or a torsion spring to keep the target from just falling over. it would just take a little bit a of math to figure out how heavy of a spring you would need to buy, that would hold the target up and let it fall when you hit the plate.
