I don’t like having to pick up debris, so I’ve accumulated quite a few steel plates over the years.
That's a good point. Other than watching the cans of shave cream explode ....not much debris....i would tend to favor biodegradable stuff that might even feed the wild critters a bit. Orange cheese ball puffs were noted on Gun Talk.

I can confirm the brickettes are fun, even with a 22 rimfire.

In the spring when the grass is low, cow pies, when fresh, are rather satisfying to shoot. Although I recommend you shoot them where they occur naturally.

Rigid metal containers sealed and full of liquid do interesting things.
Condensed soup cans with a high-power rifle are very dramatic, however cows think cream of mushroom is a wonderful salad dressing. I always wanted to try tomato soup inside a snowman.

Horse Apples are tough, not much fun with a 22, but bigger stuff will move them.

Small blocks of scrap wood on a shelf you can knock them off of are good.
