The Vetting: Obama Has Demagogued Guns, from 2000 to Today
by Charles C. Johnson26 Jul 2012, 4:59 AM PDT

"As Barack Obama attacks "AK-47s," while his press secretary promises that Obama respects Second Amendment rights, it is worth recalling Obama's long-running campaign for gun control, dating back more than a decade--a campaign he now seeks to downplay as he heads into a difficult presidential election, because he knows how deeply unpopular it would be."...

And Romney extended the AWB when he was governor. He wasnt forced to extend it, he actually supported it.
are you saying Romney is as bad as Obama? I STRONGLY disagree. President Bush was for an AWB also (a position which I very much disagree with of course), but no one would say he was anywhere close to being as bad as Obama.
Electing Mr. Obama out of office is absolutely necessary if we want our RKBA to continue to be recognized by the Federal Govt. I can honestly say this is the first election in my lifetime where the RKBA actually hangs in the balance.

BTW, Your many posts against Romney seem to imply an attempt to demoralize Romney supporters, perhaps? Any attempts to demoralize Romney supporters are not going to work on this forum, in my opinion, because most of us are voting AGAINST obama, not FOR romney.
:)

I would rather have 10 Bushs or 10Romneys rather than just 1 Obama or 1 Gore or 1 Kerry and the pack of lib anti-gun & anti-2nd Amendment socialist wolves that they run with. I left out McCain on purpose because he was/is too much of a wussy-hawk rino for my tastes.

How in the hell can you people be for gun rights and support Obama?? How is that possible?? I admit that Romney is not perfect but he is way better than what we have now. You have to be anti-American to support Obama. I get so tired of hearing how Romney was for the AWB. Not everyone is going to support that. But as a whole I believe that he wants what most of us want. Obama does not. That is clear. This is the same president that is willing to sign a UN treaty. Give me a break. And let me mention another thing that our worthless president has done. Apologize to other countries, repeatedly. Man what a guy.

Out in the woods.
To me, even more important is the congressional races. Can't afford to lose any seats to the liberal side. The most pressing issue for the presidential race is who would end up appointing the future SCOTUS judges if congress tilts toward the conservitaves.

You are very correct, make no doubt, Romney is every bit as bad as Obama, I believe it 100%.
But please dont think that I like Obama or his policies. Unlike alot of people, i see thru the mass of media BS and political rhetoric of the media machines. I understand the tactics and shrug them off.

My intent is not to demoralize anyone, rather, to show that not everyone is a Republican conservative.
Im a registered independent, i think im conservative fiscally, prolly lean a little left on social issues. Im also into guns and hunting. But as important as the 2A is to me, its only one thing i consider, there are others. But I will not vote based on unfounded FEARS of what might happen and i will not vote AGAINST a candidate.

I will try my objective best to find a reason to vote FOR a candidate, eventhough i might disagree with the party platform.

If you can show me gun legislation, that Obama has put through while he has been Prez, maybe ill shut up. I can show you what Romney did while Gov.

Politically i dont try to draw lines in the sand, politics is a negotiation.
I realize im way out numbered on this forum and in this state, no biggie for me.

Anti American? I geuss you think everyone who voted for Obama was the boogy man?
Are you saying Democrats are anti Americans, Liberals anti Americans, Independants anti Americans? Those that dont share your views are somehow anti Americans?

Maybe you dont know what an American is, other than the crap youve been spoonfed by the media.

So true. Just another example of the us vs. Them mentality. It's really Ametican to call people with whom you disagree unAmerican. Shows you really respect what America is all about.
