It's gonna depend on what you want to do with it. If shooting mostly USPSA revo division the 625 rules. Easy to shoot major, 6 round moonclips (IRRC 6 is the max between reloads by rule, so no advantage to the 7 or 8 shots) and they make a fine competition gun. If IDPA is your game the 19/66 K frame is hard to beat. Just ask Jerry Biggs. There is a guy that shoots the OKC ICORE matches with a 6" Model 14 K38 Masterpiece and he absolutely rocks it. That might be the ticket if you ever get into PPC.

Bottom line is, if it has S&W on the side you are going to have the nice smoothest action there is to be had. Of the K, L, or N frames, just check out them all and see what you are most comfortable with.
