Why do things that go against libs never take effect immediately (if ever) and those that go against conservatives go into effect immediately?
Because conservatives are not supposed to exist in the first place. They are big ugly boulders on a prime piece of land next to a beautiful lake.

The left plays for power, the right plays for virtue. Guess which one always wins in the end?

It goes back and forth, but the fact that normal American people lose every time seems pretty constant.

Last time he did this it threw a major wrench in the CA anti-gun agenda. Pallets of 30 round mags were in every gun shop and when they finally got them banned again it was only for new purchases so all of those mags sold were perfectly legal to possess as was any 30 round mag regardless of when it was purchased. Pretty hard for them to prove when it was purchased.

"... it will go back through the courts again and again."

Don't think so.

Benitez' original (conservative, pro-gun) decision was overturned by the liberal appellate court, but the US Supreme Court overrode that court decision (and criticized the hell out of the appellate court). The SC sent the case back to be reconsidered in light of the Bruen decision. Benitez ruled the exact same way a second time, so we're at a decision-making point.

The appellate court is well aware that the Supreme Court just gave them a chance - to get it right - and that 'second chance' was out of sheer courtesy. If the appellate court dares refuse to correct themselves (if they intentionally defy the Supreme Court), they put themselves into impeachment territory. And the Supreme Court does NOT like being intentionally ignored... [that's one bear I certainly would not poke!]
