Hunt the hardwood draws and edge of fresh clear cuts. Make sure and get more than 100 yards off the road. I grew up down there and hunted Honubby a lot. I still do some. The only thing that scared me down there was logging trucks and Texans. I felt safer there than any public land within an hour drive of Tulsa. Don't shoot the horses or cows.

I think I found a hunting partner. So, hopefully the trip is on. Which leads me to a follow-up question:

Has anyone camped here when hunting? Did you have any issues? Or does anyone foresee any issues?

There is no better place to camp than Three Rivers. I've spent many a nights sleeping beside the Glover. Long time ago I got laid off right during deer season, so I went down and camped by myself for three weeks on the banks of the river. Best camping trip of my life.
