Too bad Aug 7th is the same day as the big OKC match or I'd be there.

Same here.

Then again, no times are listed here or on their site, so maybe it's possible to shoot both....

It'd also be nice to know what all is involved and what a "Defensive Pistol Course" is.

the round count really depends on the amout of shooters that show up. more than likely no more than 150 :fullauto: but just to be safe i personally would have 300 on hand :fullauto: ammo is also sold here

These matches are alot of fun. although it is very competitive, its alot of guys just having a good time. ALL MATCHES START 10:00-10:30 am

The Defensive pistol course is ran by a SFO (SFC Kastl). For information on this class please call and ask for Craig

ATTENTION: WE ARE ALSO STARTING UP A TRAP LEAGUE FOR AUGUST
--the trap league buy in is $30 and shooters will shoot two rounds of trap per week equalling 8 rounds of trap--
--we will try to give away a shotgun as long as we have enough participation and funds--

we are building the tac-range to allow us to do such movements but for this competition it will be a standing free hand stance. targets are shoot/no shoot clays and some hanging tennis balls. the tennis balls subtract time and are an optional target. the clays are your main target and the no-shoot's add to your time.

I just spent a wonderful weekend in the Poineer House at the Tin Star Ranch. The cabin is very rustic but wonderful.
Sundown Jones demonstrates the ridiculous end of barrel length, firing 18" barreled Buntline Specials in Frontier Cartridge (Black Powder Cartridge). His buscadero holsters are strapped to his ankles. He won Cartridge Black Powder at the Tin Star CAS Open 2001 and finished in the top ten.
