trailer ramp springs

I have a Big Tex 12' utility trailer, with a ramp gate. I want to add some torsion springs to the hinge area to help with opening and closing the gate. I am looking for some ideas about what is the best way to proceed.
I do not have enough room around the hinge pin to just install a longer pin. Therefore, I will either have to replace the hinge or add a couple of extra hinges.

I just googled "adding springs to a trailer ramp", looks like there is a ton of info available.

I suspect there will be some fabrication involved.

When u add springs add some to unfold ramps off ur deck as well as pick up ramps off the ground.
