Who has an ugly but completely functional gun? Here's two of mine: a Winchester Model 94 30-30 and a Taurus PT92af 9mm.
With all due respect and in my opinion, that Winchester is a classic.

94 could never be put into the class of 'ugly' - ugly example, maybe, but not ugly in general.
Ugly Winchester 94??? ACK!! I'm guessing you are referring to that abomination sitting on top of it and not the beautiful rifle it's attached to or I'll have nightmares all night.
Taurus...well I know some like them but I have no love for them in any shape.
I can't think of any gun I own that are ugly except a really old single shot .410 that's been in the family for a couple generations but it's not what I would describe as functional. It's strictly sentimental.

Type 94 Nambu, made in September, 1941 by the Nambu Rifle Mfg. Co. in Japan, under Nagoya Arsenal supervision. About 71,000 were made before and during WWII from 1935 to 1945.

Got hit by the top of the ugly tree, and every limb on the way down. She's also the most dangerous gun ever made. can fire without ever pulling the trigger.
As to the Winchester 94, get rid of the scope and side mount. For the Taurus, get the original grips, and she'll look alot better.
