Vacation season is sneaking up on us, where you going this year?

I'm goin' to Vacation Bible School.

After years of being self-employed and watching the guys I work for take 3-6 weeks vacation a year while I stay home at their beck and call...I finally said fawk it last year. It'll work itself out.

Denver next week for 5 days.

Austin to help a friend move in May if that counts.

Coastal Maine for a week in June.

Northern New Mexico Rockies - camping/backpacking for a week in August.

Colorado Springs in July for my 20th high school reunion, and then we will be travelling to South Dakota for some sight seeing and making the loop back home.


I wanted to go to Atlantis this year, but we need to plan that out a little better, as I am dropping a massive chunk of coin on my shop expansion. Doubling the size of my facilities is worth it, but we can go hopefully next year.

Nacogdoches, Natchitoche, Natchez.

I'm going on a nice vacation to Dixieland at the end of May... a few days in Atlanta, and then all the next week in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Northern New Mexico Rockies - camping/backpacking for a week in August.

Now that sounds cool. Unfortunately, if it doesn't include a beach, my wife is only luke warm to it. My boys and I would love to do something like that.

This year may be an off year; went to the USVI four times in three years, so it may be time to stay closer to home this year. Europe is in the medium-term plans.
