So giving out a loan to a corporation is socialism............. So you are saying that Kodak is now run by the US Government.
Does loan now mean that the taxpayer owns Kodak........ Are loan and bought or take over inter changeable words or phases now?

so·cial·ism
/ˈsōSHəˌlizəm/
Learn to pronounce

noun
  1. a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

Perhaps you should look at Boeing, and the rest of the airline industry. "Loans" - yet loans which dictate how the company operates to some extent, and all funded by the taxpayers.

Kodak, Boeing, American....the Savings & Loans - all the same BS. Welfare is welfare, whether it's for me or for a company.
This whole printing more money and handing it out is not going to make us any stronger.

What's wrong with "MAKING AMRERICA GREAT", AGAIN and AGAIN. I'm all in.

America was/is great because for a long time we followed a well-thought out framework that limited government, and guaranteed individual freedom.

Freedom means you might succeed, you might not. This is true for people and corporations. Limited government allowed the strong to survive, and created opportunities for those with talent and a good work ethic to prosper - it created the greatest economy in the history of the world. Once we strayed from the original ideas, we've spent over a century "fixing" problems that would not have occurred, had we stuck to the instructions. Chanting "MAGA" doesn't fix anything. DJT isn't fixing anything. Only sound economic policies will fix things, and that's gonna hurt.

I have already told SMS I agree with him that we should not be loaning Kodak/Danka money, but it is not socialism no matter which angle you try to go at it. But by all means you both keep trying to hammer the point home that you don't like giving money to company's as I am sure you will find some that will disagree with you so you can hammer it some more. Enjoy !

The left is fighting the next election. Putting the country into turmoil is a talking point of the left to show the sitting President isn't in control and they need to elect someone like biden to put the country to rest.
After the November elections, no matter who wins, all this goes away. A year before the next election in 2024, it starts all over again. New Pandemic, riots, and so on.

How about officer Dorn in St. Louis, or the black Trump supporter that was executed this week?
What kind of martyr will it take? Apparently none qualify so far.
Black Journalist who happens to be a Trump supporter was stabbed in the back by an antifa member in Portland recently. He survived. Anybody hear about this incident? Censored by the media. Only on Fox news.

Do you really think so? If DJT wins it will get worst. Their dislike for DJT is such that will never stop. Besides they want to transform the American system. But time will tell.

The American system is already transformed, the fed is buying bonds of companies worth a trillion $ in stock market and have 80 billion in cash, then the company does a 4 to 1 stock split.

Go start a business in America that isn’t service sector and see if you succeed yah?

If Kodak was properly postured in the pharmaceutical industry and able to produce the needed products, they would/should have zero trouble securing a commercial loan to fire up that division.
I don't know the ins and outs of it, but my understanding is that Kodak isn't going to be making pharmaceuticals, they'll just be making the precursors that the pharmaceutical companies will use to make the drugs. Kodak was, essentially, a chemical company, so they are well-suited for the task, and (again, this is my understanding, not necessarily a fact) they will be doing something that nobody else in the country is doing.

Now, why they "need" Uncle Sugar to make the loans instead of getting private financing, I don't know. See my signature block for more on that...
