Colt DA's have a very bad reputation for going their cylinders going "out of time" with many fewer rds (or dryfire cycles) than Smiths or Rugers, and those go out of time in pretty short order. :-) Most people don't know how to check for the cylinder hand being worn. What you do is put a bit of "drag" on the rotation of the cylinder, with a finger. with the other hand, SLOWLY cock the hammer. once the hammer is cocked, grab the cylinder and see if you can turn it further, before the bolt pops up into the bolt notch in the cylinder. If you can, your cylinder hand is worn, and should be replaced or "peened" to make it longer. this costs over $50 at a smiths, and occurs every few thousand rds, actually. Swift cycling of the cylinder "throws' it around, enough to let the bolt engage the cylinder, but that does not mean that the hand aint worn, and you can stress the hell out of your frame and barrel by firing the gun with the cylinder out of alignment with the barrel, especially with magnum loads.

Why would you not finish off every zombie that you saw, if not more than 1-2 of them, if there's 2 or more of you? soon there'd be none left! Make short spears, with about a foot long blade, with a short crosshilt at the rear of the blade, so the zombie can't force his way up the shaft when you stick him. you force him to the ground with the leverage of the spear shaft, and your buddy lops off his head.

Why would you not just go to the nearest military base, and get a humvee, M4s, LOTS of 223 ammo, sound suppressors, etc, then get a small tanker truck full of fuel, another of food, etc, and drive to the coast, or a BIG lake. Establish a floating "base" or houseboat, and voila. No more zombie problems for you. :-) Since their bodies are rotting, they wont last long, anyway. All you have to do is hold out a while, and all will be well. Why would you risk your loved ones with any other tactics?

MMA-UFC is pretty close to being nothing more than TV wrassling. :-) there's all kinds of crippling strikes that they are VERY careful to never attempt, with any real viciousness.
