I read a lot about people competing in rifle matches,,,
But I rarely ever know what matches they are referring to.

What is the name for 50 yard precision .22 matches using bolt action rifles?

What is the name for 50 yard precision .22 matches using semi-auto rifles?

What is the name for the silhouette matches that shoots at 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards/meters?

What is the name for the silhouette matches that shoots at 50, 100, 150, and 200 yards/meters?

Red Castle will start ,22 silhouette matches in April .The schedule is on the web site you do not need to be a member to shoot in a match . Typical match is 40 targets , 10 each , chickens @ 40 meters, pigs @ 60 m. , turkeys @ 77 m. , rams @ 100 meters .

Next bowling pin match in June at OKCGC will have a 22 class, looking foreward to that one. It will only be the top 3" of the pin.

I was actually hoping for the official names for the different competitions,,,
So I could look up their websites and check out the rules.

I know the name "NRL-22" so I was able to search it,,,
I learned a lot from their website.

Any help here would be appreciated.

OKC Gun club's airgun group conducts an occasional N50 competition that has 22lr classes along with the air rifle classes. It's a benchrest event shot at 50 yards.
