Which type of hat is appropriate?

I am a fugly, mid aged white guy with a growing thin spot on the back of my head. I have worn baseball caps my entire life, but I am thinking I am a getting too old to carry that look off.

What is appropriate fashion for me to wear daily? I'm going for a look more distinguished than 'flea market' and less stuffy than 'oligarch haberdash'.

I know its not what you ask, I dislike hats.
But Im the same and I've adopted the wake up ,get a wet towell and do my hair...Done and Done

I wear a cowboy hat when I wear boots. In my youth, I'd even wear them with suits. I'd like to wear a fedora, but unfortunately, I think that look is long gone.

Wear what you are comfortable wearing. Screw fashion!!!

Besides if you wear it long enough it will come back into fashion sooner or later.
