You might have a credibility problem if you call for civility in politics a few months after saying the other guy should be put against the wall and shot.

Today

We all lose an element of freedom when security considerations distance public officials from the people. Therefore, it is incumbent on all Americans to create an atmosphere of civility and respect in which political discourse can flow freely, without fear of violent confrontation.

I hate how they just started using the word, "civility." That's my word. I've been promoting civility on this board and now I feel all dirty.

It was reported that at one time Mr. Churchill regularly carried a Fully Automatic Mauser 1896 Broomhandle. No one looking at the UK's laws would likely believe that to be possible.
