Berlin wall collapsed around ten years old and by the time I turn 50 we will have exceed the fresh water supply. Kinda interesting but I have doubts about what they claim for the future.

It's kinda like this article that says we will not be able to produce enough oil by 2020....http://www.theinsider.org/news/article.asp?id=0423 which means that there are a lot of times when the learned people out there are guessing when they call for doom and gloom.

"You're one of the first people who's never lived in a world without TV remote controls."

Maybe so, but they were scarce as hen's teeth. We didn't even have an indoor bathroom until I was 9.

I actually have an early "remote control" VCR that my older sister (by 13+yrs) & her husband had.

The "remote" was via a cable that ran to the VCR.

Thanks for triggering a gag reflex...

"You were born in May of 1946. This year, The Atlantic celebrates its 160th birthday, making it 2 times as old as you."

Wrong!! I'm only 73. My first question of the veracity of this interactive nonsense.

"Your life can be divided into two halves: before and after MTV."

Well, at least it wasn't Oprah.

As an addition, the Trump administration is having signs removed from national parks. The signs, which were installed after Obumba "witnessed" the declining glaciers, were telling people that the glaciers would be gone by 2020.

No kidding I sat close to the tv so I didn't have to go far to turn channels. 2, 4, 6 and 8 no problem I could do that with my foot. It was UHF that sucked 23 to 41 BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPP as you spun that dial around.

We couldn't get HF channels either, but I do remember the dial.

We mostly got one local channel (KXII). My folks' home place in North Central Texas was on the north side of a hill, and Dallas/FT Worth (the nearest large broadcast source) was south of us.

Dad finally sprung for cable after I moved out in '75. :/

I believe we had 3 VHF channels and 1 UHF channel.

And no one under 40 years of age has any idea what that means. :pms2:

At 13 years old, you were alive to behold people walking on the moon.

I remember watching it on TV while trying to adjust the rabbit ears on the TV to get a good reception.
