Poor Dr. choice?
I considered that, but I really don't think so based on some of the references I talked with. Of course, everybody has a bad day now and then. Would be just my luck!
Poor Dr. choice?
Every situation is different ... every one. I had my first eye done last Thursday ... six days ago. Now, I did have some complications, but I have had some very miserable days since then. Just today, my eye feels almost back to normal. I definitely did not see any immediate improvement. I wound up with an abrasion on my eye, which led to a couple of different ointments and adjustments in drops and ointments. Today, my vision might be almost back to where it was prior to the surgery. I'm not saying, don't have the surgery. If you need it, you need it. I was to a "have to" type of situation and it sounds like you are, too. I just don't want you to believe you are gonna' feel like a kid with a new toy immediately after surgery. You won't. Good luck and keep us posted.
Was it on a Monday morning or Friday afternoon? LOLI considered that, but I really don't think so based on some of the references I talked with. Of course, everybody has a bad day now and then. Would be just my luck!

I certainly hope the other eye goes better for you.

... including the removal of the post surgery grey film. Film develops in over 50% of cataract patients over a few month post surgery. Easy, quick office procedure with a laser once it's "ripe".
Film growth was gradual enough that I didn't particularly notice it until maybe a couple weeks before the appointment. Doc wanted it to be "ripe" before he popped it with the laser. Like a pin sticking a balloon. A few floaters for a couple days then clearness. Doc did one pop at a time, about a week apart. I was on steroid eye drops for the affected eye during the week.Yeah ... actually scar tissue. Doc warned me of that before we did anything. I asked him if it would be obvious? Would I definitely notice a change, or would my optometrist pick up on it? His response was "Oh, you'll know." Did you notice a definite change?
