Hate to see those old growth trees come down like that.We lost power Tuesday morning around 9:30am and got it back that night around 8:00 pm. I ran one of my big generators and loaned another one to a friend that got his power back tonight around 8:00 pm. Tuesday morning you could stand under the porch watch the limbs just dropping off trees. We have three trees View attachment 178748 View attachment 178748 View attachment 178750 so damaged that they may have to come completely out.
I'm thinking those folks are overwhelmed right now.Find someone with a mill and slab those bad boys up. Make something from your old trees.

I have thought about buying a generator, and my wife keeps wanting a whole house, automagic generator... but the truth is our power seems to usually be back on quickly. Even the big ice storm several years ago when people were without power for a week or more, I think ours was off for about an hour. In fact I can't remember it ever being off more than about 3 hours. So I've never bought one, unfortunately that time you DO need it, you can't just run out and buy one then.
