Yes, but I would still advise what has been said before. Take it to a gunsmith, and have the chamber checked. Maybe thats why you ended up with it in the trade. previous owner was having the same problems?

If it is bending rings, it is your carrier plain and simple. It either has a chunk which fell out, or a rust ridge which is causing you grief. It is possible a blown primer sent part of the anvil back down the key and into the carrier and gauged it all up.

There is nothing wrong with your chamber, and it matters little what you are using as long as the gun didn't kaboom. BVAC is good ammo so no worries there. You got a carrier problem. Accurate Iron can look at it for you or you can clean out your carrier on the inside real well and look inside to see the problem. Either way you are going to need a new carrier
