Ooooooh, drool, drool. My own personal "top 5" Alaska/Canada rifle rounds for everything including dangerous game would be, in order: 9.3x62mm, .35 Whelen, .375 HH Mag, .338-'06, .338 Win mag.

M-14 would be my chioce. 20 rounds of 308 would work if one handles their self well.

Shameless plug part two .... Has iron sights with a Pachmayr Low-Swing mount that allows the sights to be used by swinging the scope away BUT returns to zero everytime. Nice to have if the Leupold 2x7 were to crap out. Like any Sako, it shoots sub MOA groups. Haven't shot it since the mid 80's ... just sitting in my safe looking for a good home ...
