Bringing extra mags on vacation?

My "Get Home Bag" has 5 extra magazines in it. I figure Reddog will be right one of these days and I AM getting home.

Oh yeah, when I go out of town I go with IWB as well as pocket gun, all with extra mags, and sometimes an AR.

On road trips with the family I always bring an extra pistol with two spare mags in addition to whatever I am carrying. Most of the time I also bring an AR with 5 loaded mags, just in case.

The wife usually carrys her Beretta Storm 9mm subcompact. I carry either a Glock 30 or a Kimber Ultra Carry 2 and a Ruger LCP .357mag. Then we have an AR-15 and three full 30 rd. mags in the trunk.

Im fixing to go visit my parents in the dfw area and I only plan on bringing my g17 iwb and 2 spare mags. However I will be lodging at my parents house and usually my dad is with us out and about so he will have his keltec 380

SOP for me is my standard CC with 3 mags, a long gun with 6 mags and an ammo can with 1/2 K of feed. Old warrior's addage: It's better to have and not need than to need and not have. Always prepare in depth.
