I got one for Christmas!
We had a dinner for my wife's family today with 16 adults and who knows how many kids.

The salt shoots right through some oak leaves in the yard. Pretty cool.

Hey, GC really could have a lot of fun with this, especially if he cooks or smokes on the grill when they all congrigate. It will give him something to do while he is watching the temps and drinking a beer. Way cooler than a flyswatter.

I have been using mine 2 years now, and still going strong. If you do the grilling, GC can be your "bodyguard" and have fun doing it. Overnight shipping would get it here in time. It is just a "toy", but better than most because it does achive a useful function of being a miniture 3ft shotgun. I bought mine at $25 ordering before they started producing. Knowing what I know now, $40 is not bad. Actually thought about a few for family presents.

I put kosher salt in mine for the first test. Its more coarse than table salt, but I was thinking weight = penetration.

Since your the expert, what salt do you use?

I am glad I did not start putting markers on mine if 5 is all it takes. It would be a total different color by now. Ha Ha

Mine shoots dead on side to side, but a little high, shame the sights are not adjustable.

I shoot table salt, I wish the "magazine" was bigger. I have noticed that when it gets to half full the size of the load is decreased.

I'm thinking a mound of burger along side the pool. The pumps make my floatie go about one rev per 5 minutes. I could become an ACE in 30 minutes or less depending if I need to get out for a beer.
