Danged if I didn't, I made sure I spelled vitrectomy correctly the first time around.
Vasectomy... LoL....
I think you got auto-corrected.

I'll admit to putting this off longer than I should have but at my 6 month checkup last Friday (5-29) in OKC my opthalmologist told me again that I should seriously consider cataract surgery.
I ask her who she recommended and she said Dr. Kimberly Wise here in Norman who ends up only being about two miles from home and I ask her to go ahead set up the appointment.....I got a call Monday from Wise's office and had my exam and consultation with her yesterday.
Dr. Wise is 55, has been in business for years doing cataract surgery, has a good beside manor and took her time explaining the options and the actual procedure, she also agreed that I was to the point that I needed to have the surgery done......I felt comfortable and relaxed with her which is a big plus.
My first eye is being done on 6-22 and the second on 7-6 (both under IV sedation) and after they have both healed 100% then I get another eye exam and have new glasses made which will be mostly for reading......she said that I'll notice a big difference right away after the surgery.
Can't say I'm looking forward to the two surgeries but it needs to be done so I may as well put on my big boy pants and get it over with.
Poor Dr. choice?Every situation is different ... every one. I had my first eye done last Thursday ... six days ago. Now, I did have some complications, but I have had some very miserable days since then. Just today, my eye feels almost back to normal. I definitely did not see any immediate improvement. I wound up with an abrasion on my eye, which led to a couple of different ointments and adjustments in drops and ointments. Today, my vision might be almost back to where it was prior to the surgery. I'm not saying, don't have the surgery. If you need it, you need it. I was to a "have to" type of situation and it sounds like you are, too. I just don't want you to believe you are gonna' feel like a kid with a new toy immediately after surgery. You won't. Good luck and keep us posted.
