How to fatten a dog up?

Vet said my dog needs to gain between 5-10 lbs. question is how do I do it. I tried giving him more food but he still eats the normal amount. I made something called satin balls but don't know how many of those to give him a day. So any ideas in this subject?

His bowl stays full while we are home but he only eats enough food to stay alive I guess haha.

Seriously......warm oatmeal. We've always used this for sickly dogs on the farm and it's worked quite well throughout the years.

I had the same problem with Boris (my pooch). I always free fed him, and he'd eat a mouthful here and there. I ended up just buying him 5 dozen eggs ($5ish) and put one in morning & evening. Did the trick, he gained weight and eats much more regularly.
