Hello to everyone here.

Real name is Mark; and as you can tell by my nick, I live in Tulsa.

Never really a big handgun shooter, but back in the early 90s my ex-wife (wife at the time) was a Wyoming State Junior Skeet champion, so we did some skeeting. I've hunted a few times but always with relative-loaned rifles and/or shotguns.

Lived in Houston from 1991 to almost 1994 and moved back after the divorce.

After spending most of my life working, I never re-married and in 2004 moved back in with my Mother to help take care of her in my childhood home (she's partially disabled and now in her mid 60s). I still work, but with fewer bills (read that as no mortgage, but have a car payment).

With that situation, I wanted to make sure I was able to defend both myself and my Mother should the need arise. Last year I bought a used (lightly) Bersa Thunder .380. Just this past April I finally was able to get to the range to put some ammo through it at 2A.

Took my CC class on Saturday (7/7) and have the certificate now. Headed down to TCSO this week to start it all in motion.

Plan on going back to the range sometime this week (I have all this week on vacation).

I've been reading this for awhile and decided to sign up. I support our Second Amendment rights and I'm armed all the time. Looks like there's alot of smart people on here that know alot about firearms and I'm always wanting to learn more.

I was born and raised in WV, an open carry state, and back there it was a nonissue with no problems, it wasn't even discussed and I'm glad to see OK has now taken this stance.

I'm an active outdoorswoman and a hunting enthusiast and a cowgirl so I am sure I will enjoy the discussions.
