Holy chit that is a great buy. I am a little differnet than everyone else. I would put ribbed mod barrel on it. I can't hit a damn thing with my IC on the 1100. Bust everything with that mod barrel though.
You need to pattern your IC barrel. Sounds like it might be off.

3" can be done by a good 'smith, but better to leave as is.
Get a new barrel, if you gotta have choke tubes.
I have converted 1 to tubes and 3" and have 3 factory originals. The converted one seldomly gets used with 3" shells and I can't remember the last time I changed the choke.

1100 is a great shotgun. Had one years ago, wish I still had it...never had any probs with it.
