I thought it was a teachable moment is all, and somehow it became a race to the bottom.

I have dealt with numerous know-it-alls, and they can be very annoying. One claimed to have an IQ of 250, and was active on the old Kansas forum. At least he was a decent guy at heart. Another, also active on the same forum, was one of the most obnoxious pricks I have ever encountered.

Bottom line for me is if they're decent about it, I can live with them, if not, I try to ignore them.

I think in the comic strip Dilbert the guy in the office that knew and had done everything was named Topper. I think that is a great name for these folks.
