Just finished watching it last night. Why I hadn't already seen it I'll never know. Very good flick. An now to watch the sequel...

I read the first two books and kinda want to read the last two. The movies didn't do the books justice.

I have resisted buying the other two books because I learned that McMurtry was a co writer of Brokeback Mountain.

I like the movie because Robert Duval portrayed Gus exactly as I imagined him in the book. One of my all time favorites. You may be disappointed in the sequels but the novel is outstanding.

Don't waste your time with the sequel. It's like making a sequel to Tombstone. There is no way to meet the same level of entertainment as the original.
