Moonshine!!!!

Someone hitch me some moonshine.
I got some Apple Pie with Everclear in the makes for this weekend as we speak..err type.
I wana try the real deal!

I want to make it - but I'd like to know how long it would stay good. With the juice, cider, and cinnamon stick - how long would it stay good - weeks? Month?

Don't know yet. My batch make up 6 quarts the last week in January. I gave one away and have 2 left in the fridge. So far so good. The higher the % of alchol I'm assuming the longer it would last. I've heard people keeping it for around 6 months in a cool dark place, but who knows.

1 gallon of apple juice
1 gallon of apple cider.........real cider from the fruit section of the grocery store
1 1/2 cups of white sugar
2 1/2 cups brown sugar
8 cinnamon sticks
1 liter of 190 Proof Alcohol, Moonshine, Everclear or equivalent.

This batch will make about 9 quarts.

I did a variation of this recipe tonight. It made 9 quarts.

Can't wait to try it in 3-4 weeks.

I had a coffee mug left over. It's has a small kick but its supposed to mellow after sitting awhile

Forgot to mention....... Dont get any on the jars threads, sugar is like glue. I had two that I had to open like a old oil can.

Doesn't using Everclear for moonshine kind of defeat the purpose of evading taxes, spitting in the eye of authority, and living like a free man?
