Oh I agree professor ACE. Hence one if the many reasons I don't support Republican presidents, especially with the SCOTUS looking like the last few survivors of a nursing home fire and the first abortion case of the decade ongoing.
I was just floating a hypothetical trade for the anti-abortion crowd. Also would like to float that to the anti-gun crowd.
Both are in fact similar in many ways. They are contentious issues that are screamed about so much they take an incredible amount of time and money away from better causes, and both should have been settled long ago. Neither should even be brought up in a presidential race. Hi. This is America. We have rights to guns and abortion. Shut the hell up if you disagree with either.

I'm no advocate of the right's philosophy on abortion, wished they'd just drop it. However, you're delusional if you don't think the 2nd amendment would virtually end if Dem frontrunners had their way.
Yes, we know. The left wants to repeal the 2nd! The NRA has been telling us that for years. What they don't seem to recall is that in Obama's first years in office both the house and senate were controlled by the left. Not A Single Gun Control Law Was Passed. You can chicken-little all you want, but the fact, the fact, is that in the last 20 years the left has done next to nothing to restrict gun ownership, even including the AWB which didn't actually make owning an "assault weapon" a crime. In the last 20 year, the right has actually, not just "oh my what will they do", but have actually greatly restricted abortion.
The claim the left wants to "take yer guns" is pure demagoguery that has no basis in fact.
The right wanting to eliminate abortion is not a claim, it's a stated fact.
The are simply not even close to being comparable.
One is a specious claim, a theory, an unwarranted fear. One is actually happening.

Both have laws on the books infringing upon them.

Hillary wants to do an end run around the 2nd. She wants people to be able to sue gun manufactures, for damages, because they producing dangerous products, which would mean an end to manufacturing of guns and ammunition, in the US market.
