Several other states have that option but don't think we'll get it anytime soon.

The open carry map I saw would imply that MOST states have some form of open carry. OK and TX are a couple of the few that expressly prohibit it unless under certain conditions, e.g. hunting.

Still debating my choices as I prefer a mild climate. Flagstaff, AZ has my attention.

LOL! True, but then I could wander a bit more southward if I spot a snowflake until it disappears. Just musing on the option of moving. I would prefer to stay in OK and still be able to open carry in accord with the 2A.

I was under the impression Tibbs wasn't running for reelection, which is why she volunteered to jump on the grenade for the House leadership.

Things should start moving in the next few weeks as to pre-filing and the like. Or whatver it is they do before the session.

The way I worded that is the way it was worded to me by another Republican legislator. I know she doesn't term limit out until 2012. You could be correct, but until she announces one way or the other I will assume she will run again -- and will call and visit her office until she gets sick of hearing my name.

Only after they figure out a way to tax it.

I called too. I very much want open carry in Oklahoma. I feel we have that right through the 2A. We need to blow up her phone to pass HB 1414.
