Does anyone know if the foam in Pelican rifle and smaller boxes is the open type or closed cell foam? Also which one is ok to leave guns in for extended periods of time and not collect moisture? Wondering about storing a rifle and handgun in these cases. I don't want to open it a year from now and see that the firearms are all pitted and rusted.

Thanks

If you don't want to see rust then don't store guns in thoes cases for an extended time without a good coat of rust inhibiting oil or wax
and maybe some decacant packs. All theos types of foams draw moisture. Pluse soft gun cases.
